Back when it was just cupcake sisters Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis gabbing to friends about their impending stardom, Yeas & Nays gave you the dish that their Georgetown Cupcake would host D.C.’s latest reality gig.
Well, “Cupcake Sisters” is official and set to premiere on Discovery’s TLC in July. The uber-trendy cupcake shop owners said they started filming Valentine’s Day weekend and their shop is already experiencing the chaos of being a reality hot spot.
Just this Saturday, one of our spies spotted multiple camera crews inside the shop. Boom microphones draped the back and side of the counter, and producers with monitors and headsets sat at a table directing the crews.
“There were more people with reality crews than customers in the store,” our spy said.
The line outside to enter the shop at one point wrapped up the block to Prospect Street Northwest.
