Oh, the irony.

As if former Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius’ tenure in the Obama administration hasn’t been plagued with enough errors and malfunctions, Sebelius bid farewell to the American people with one final system failure.

All was going smoothly for the HHS head as she gave her farewell speech in the White House Rose Garden on Friday, with President Barack Obama and his nominee to replace her, Sylvia Matthews Burwell, looking on. But as Sebelius discussed the warm-and-fuzzy feelings she got when Americans thanked her for the Affordable Care Act, the feel-good disappeared as she realized a page was missing from her speech.

Sebelius spent a moment rummaging through her prepared remarks before admitting defeat, telling the audience, “Unfortunately, a page is missing.”

The audience laughed while the former HHS official attempted to move on.

Sebelius officially resigned as HHS secretary Thursday, less than two weeks after the end of the open enrollment period for Obamacare ended. The former Kansas governor, who was appointed to lead HHS in 2009, touted the more than 7.1 million Americans who had signed up for health insurance under the law.

However, Obamacare’s implementation was plagued with a broken online exchange, Healthcare.gov. Sebelius appeared before Congress multiple times to discuss the marketplace and eventually took the fall for its failure.
