Cruz ad: ‘Damn it feels good to be a Clinton’

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz released a new ad needling Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server on Friday.

The ad features a Clinton doppelganger smashing a server in a video imitating a scene from the 1999 film Office Space, where a printer is destroyed.

“Damn it feels good to be a Clinton,” a voice sings in the background. “A shameless politician always plays her cards right. Got a crew for the fight on the airwaves, lapdogs in the press keep their mouths tight. Because a Clinton never needs to explain what, why it is, what they’ve done or with who. A real Clinton knows that they’re entitled and you don’t get to know what they do.”

Cruz’s ad aimed at Clinton is the latest in a series of new spots he has released that target his opponents in unconventional ways. This week, the Cruz campaign unveiled an ad featuring a Donald Trump action figure and another video set in a self-help group setting that targeted Florida Sen. Marco Rubio. Cruz’s team later pulled the Rubio advertisement because it featured a soft-core porn actress.

Cruz will campaign in South Carolina on Friday and will appear at Saturday night’s presidential debate broadcast by CBS from Greenville.
