Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., was hit by a reporter’s notebook on Thursday night after it fell from the overhead press gallery during the Senate’s vote on a partial Obamacare repeal bill.
A video showed the notebook falling on him, and them Scott quickly jumping and looking up.

Haley Byrd, a congressional reporter for the Independent Journal, tweeted later that her notebook fell from the press gallery and that she had apologized to the senator.
Later that morning, Byrd shared photos of the “now prepared” senator playing into the light-hearted moment by wearing a hard hat.

The moment took place during the late-night Senate vote for a GOP Obamacare repeal bill, which was narrowly rejected by a vote of 49-51.
