Fox News reported its 18th consecutive week atop the cable news ratings list with a prime-time lineup that outpaced ESPN’s popular docuseries The Last Dance.
Fox furthered its streak to 18 straight weeks in total day-viewing and for 16 weeks in a row during prime time among total viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. During the week of May 4 through May 10, Fox’s prime-time lineup garnered 3.5 million viewers, beating out competitors such as HGTV, TLC, and ESPN.
On Sunday nights, ESPN has been airing The Last Dance, a series that explores the career of NBA legend Michael Jordan and focuses on his final season with the Chicago Bulls.
Fox shows comprised 13 of the top 16 telecasts in cable news with most viewers during the week, and the network delivered 10 telecasts that surpassed 4 million viewers. Fox News Channel’s prime-time average beat CNN and MSNBC combined, a press release reported.
