People who wish to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin during the pandemic are required to go through a high-tech tunnel that sprays them with disinfectant.
Putin, who has been in self-isolation at his Novo-Ogaryovo estate in the suburbs of Moscow, has a device that reportedly sprays visitors from above and on their sides as they pass through it. The box also reportedly includes facial recognition technology and can read body temperatures.
Videos of the unique device were posted Tuesday on social media. Footage shows people walking through the tunnel and being hit with a white mist or light spray.

Putin has been in self-isolation since some Russian officials close to him tested positive for COVID-19. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that he had been diagnosed with the disease in late April, and Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, was hospitalized for COVID-19 in May.
Russia has the third-most cases of the coronavirus in the world, with more than 550,000 confirmed infections and about 7,500 deaths, although some experts believe that number could be underreported by Russian authorities.
