At a talk hosted by the New York Times on Tuesday evening, feminist dissident Camille Paglia and late night television host Andy Cohen reflected on the presidential election.
Cohen, a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton who regularly jabs at President Trump, mentioned, “I kept thinking in the back of my head, ‘He could win.'”
“I was the idiot who was going to Five Thirty Eight and looking at Nate Silver’s percentages 18 times a day,” Cohen said. “I just felt like the biggest asshole on election night.”
The Watch What Happens Live host recalled seeing a television chyron on Tuesday regarding the president that read, “Jobs for America.” Reflecting on the screen, Cohen said, “I thought to myself it doesn’t even matter if this works or not, he could get re-elected.”
Cohen, the brains behind the popular “Real Housewives” franchise, frequently compares Trump to the stars of those shows, quipping on Tuesday, “He was behaving like a Real Housewife at all of these debates, ” but conceding that Trump was also talked “to people in a way they were connecting with.”
