A Florida mother said she removed her daughter, who identifies as a lesbian, from a private school after it instituted a policy in which LGBT students “would be asked to leave immediately.”
“She was scared she was going to open her mouth and expose herself, right, but she’s not scared anymore,” the mother, whose identity was not released for protection, said.
The Grace Christian School Administrator Barry McKeen sent an email to parents early in the summer detailing the school’s sexuality policies, according to a report.

In short, it read that parents must recognize and agree with the school’s policies prior to the beginning of their student’s school year.
“From what I read it is not a new policy, but that was the first time I was made aware of that policy,” the mother said.
“I actually respect their opinion … but my daughter’s well-being, right, and mental health is more important.”
Students will solely be referred to according to the sex they were assigned when they were born, the email from McKeen read.
Homosexuality and being transgender are “sinful in the sight of God and the church,” according to the school.
“We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, transgender identity/lifestyle, self-identification, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery and pornography are sinful in the sight of God and the church (Genesis 2:24; Leviticus 18:1-30; Romans 1:26-29; I Corinthians 5:1; I Corinthians 6:9; I Thessalonians 4:2-7),” the message read.

“Students who are found participating in these lifestyles will be asked to leave the school immediately,” McKeen wrote.
