Former White House trade adviser Peter Navarro is confident former President Donald Trump will be on the ballot in four years.
“Whether he announces today or not, he will be on the ballot in 2024,” Navarro told Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo, referring to Trump and his upcoming speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Sunday.

Navarro, who has remained a loyal ally to his former boss, said Trump must go after the “traditional, globalist, elitist Republicans who love open borders and love free trade.”
“This president is fair trade, secure borders, strong national defense, law, and order,” Navarro said.
Speculation about whether Trump is mulling another presidential run has been high in recent days, as the former president is expected to address his intentions to remain politically active in his speech, as well as attack his successor, President Biden, and the job he has so far done in his two months in the Oval Office.
Sen. Mitt Romney, a Utah Republican who distanced himself from Trump, said he believes the former president would be able to secure the nomination if he were to run again in 2024.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who Trump openly attacked in a scathing statement just weeks ago, said he would “absolutely” support Trump if he were to be the GOP nominee in four years.
Since leaving office, Trump has been relatively quiet in the media, only appearing to discuss his personal relationships with conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh who died this month, and golfer Tiger Woods, who remains recovering in a hospital after a car crash in Los Angeles.
