First lady Jill Biden will attend Game 4 of the World Series in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
Biden, who has called herself a “Philly girl” having grown up in nearby Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, will participate in Major League Baseball’s annual Game 4 tradition in support of its Stand Up To Cancer initiative.
“YES!! This team plays with such heart — so proud to be a @Phillies fan today, and every day,” Biden tweeted when the team clinched their berth in the World Series.

Game 4 was originally scheduled for Tuesday night. However, due to weather ahead of Game 3 in Philadelphia, the game was postponed and the World Series schedule pushed back.
Biden also recently attended the Eagles game against the Dallas Cowboys as part of the National Football League’s cancer initiative, called the “Crucial Catch” campaign. She was booed at Lincoln Financial Field at the end of the Philadelphia Eagles’ pregame Sunday.
The first lady’s second trip to Philadelphia in just about two weeks comes amid a heated Pennsylvania Senate race ahead of the midterm elections.
