Key Bridge driver admits to negligent homicide A Germantown man pleaded guilty to negligent homicide and other charges in a hit-and-run fatality on the Key Bridge.

Anthony L. Randolph, 41, faces up to about six years in prison. According to authorities, Randolph was driving a sport utility vehicle on Feb. 27 and struck a 23-year-old Arlington man, Eliester Pineda-Medrano, as he pushed a broken scooter from Georgetown to his home.

The impact of the collision caused Pineda-Medrano to be thrown onto the hood of a silver Mercury and cause Randolph’s air bag to deploy — but he kept driving.

About 20 minutes later, a Maryland state trooper found Randolph driving on Interstate 270 with only three tires, police said.

Prosecutors seek prison for Leslie Johnson

Prosecutors are seeking a year or more behind bars for former Prince George’s County Councilwoman Leslie Johnson, wife of disgraced County Executive Jack Johnson.

Leslie Johnson pleaded guilty in June to destroying evidence, admitting to flushing $100,000 down the toilet while FBI agents knocked on the door of the couple’s mansion. When she finally answered the door, the agents found $80,000 in cash stuffed in her bra and underwear.

Jack Johnson pleaded to extortion, conspiracy and witness and evidence tampering.
