New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman on Monday denied allegations of physical assault from four women with whom he has prior relationships.
“In the privacy of intimate relationships, I have engaged in role-playing and other consensual sexual activity. I have not assaulted anyone. I have never engaged in nonconsensual sex, which is a line I would not cross,” Schneiderman said in a statement.

Two of the women, Michelle Manning Barish and Tanya Selvaratnam, told the New Yorker that Schneiderman hit and choked them multiple times while they were in bed. The women characterized his behavior as “assault” and said the attacks were not consensual.
Another women who asked to remain anonymous accused Schneiderman of unwanted abuse during her interactions with him.
A fourth woman told the New Yorker that Schneiderman slapped her across the face, causing her to scream out in pain, after she rejected him.
