All week in Washington there’s been a fight over funding the Department of Homeland Security. Republican lawmakers were looking to block President Obama’s executive actions on immigration by blocking the Homeland Security funding bill.
The Conservative Political Action Conference was held this week outside of Washington, D.C. A whole crop of potential 2016 GOP presidential candidates were on hand to appeal to the crowd. Some of the big name speakers included New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Sen. Marco Rubio, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
The Federal Communications Commission this week approved net neutrality by a vote of 3-2. FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler said on Thursday that the policy will ensure no one, whether government or corporate, should control free open access to the Internet.
