President Trump likened his wife to another famous first lady, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, giving Melania Trump her own nickname.
“We have our own Jackie O, it’s called Melania, Melania T,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” on Friday.
The comments were prompted by a discussion on Trump’s plans to repaint Air Force One. Fox’s Brian Kilmeade told Trump the plane’s light blue look has been “iconic for so long.” The blue color was selected by Kennedy in the 1960s.
“I like the concept of red, white, and blue,” Trump said. “It’ll look much better, actually. The baby blue doesn’t fit with us.”
The current first lady has emulated Kennedy’s iconic style. During her husband’s inauguration in 2017, Trump wore a powder-blue ensemble similar to the one Kennedy wore to the former president’s inauguration in 1961.
