Sean Spicer ‘stung’ by Trump attack on Bloomberg’s height

Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer said he took President Trump’s dis toward 2020 presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg’s height personally.

“I’ll tell you, as a guy that’s 5-6, you know, that one stung me, too,” Spicer, 48, said Monday during an interview on SiriusXM’s The Dan Abrams Show.

Spicer chalked up Trump’s remark to his “combative style.”

Trump, 73, focused on the former New York City mayor’s height in an interview during the Super Bowl pregame and in tweets over the weekend.

“Now he wants a box for the debates to stand on. OK. It’s OK. There’s nothing wrong. You can be short. Why should he get a box to stand on? He wants a box for the debates. Why should he be entitled to that? Really. Does that mean everyone else gets a box?” Trump said.

Bloomberg, 77, is reportedly 5 feet, 8 inches tall, about half a foot shorter than the president. His team denied Trump’s claim about the debate box, saying, “The president is lying. He is a pathological liar who lies about everything: his fake hair, his obesity, and his spray-on tan.”
