LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles commuters who dealt with traffic tie-ups, lane re-routings and warnings over gridlock-riddled weekends dubbed “Carmageddon” and “Jamzilla” have been rewarded with a new 10-mile carpool lane on northbound Interstate 405.
The California Highway Patrol says the long-awaited stretch between Interstate 10 and the 101 Freeway opened before dawn Friday.
