So, Gleeks, what does D.C. stand for? Actor Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt Hummel on the hit TV show “Glee,” gave an answer to the packed Verizon Center Thursday night. “Dapper continuously,” Colfer said. He also praised “President Michelle Obama” before the nearly full house. Colfer and the whole young cast spent a day in the District, some signing autographs for Slushie-slurping fans and others shopping in Georgetown.
Cory Monteith, Jenna Ushkowitz and Naya Rivera spent their afternoon in Northern Virginia working a promotional event for AT&T and the new Samsung Infuse 4G phone. The trio started the event early to ensure their Gleeks got out of the heat more quickly. Rivera, whose character Santana came out as a lesbian, told us she loved D.C. and planned to do more advocacy work for the GLBT community when she got the chance. “I get involved with things when I have the time, I hosted the GLAAD awards and auctioned off some sweet lady kisses there,” she said. “Whenever I get time … that’s something I like to get involved in because [of] the fans, I get so many great letters from them telling me that they appreciate it.”

Meanwhile, as we reported earlier, cast members Dianna Agron and Heather Morris were out and about in Georgetown. In addition to stops at Charm Georgetown and Serendipity 3, a Yeas & Nays spy caught Morris buying wine at Potomac Wine & Spirits. “Aren’t you from ‘Glee?’ ” our spy asked. “Yeah, I am. … Just buying some spirits!” Morris replied.
Sadly, the show’s adults weren’t with the cast.
Matthew Morrison, who plays Mr. Schuester on “Glee” and regularly shows up in town for events thrown by “Hardball” producer Tammy Haddad, was in Britain prepping for a Monday night concert. And while Jane Lynch wasn’t in the District, that didn’t stop the actress, who plays Coach Sue Sylvester, from making political waves. She appeared Friday night as a guest on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” where she and Maher gave a dramatic reading of one of Rep. Anthony Weiner’s, D-N.Y., sexy online conversations.
