ABC’s The View co-host Joy Behar praised socialists while also slamming Sen. Bernie Sanders after Hillary Clinton’s criticism of the Vermont senator.
“I love socialists too. I’ve slept with several,” the host said Tuesday on the show. “I married a couple.”
Her remark came during a segment in which the co-hosts slammed Sanders for running in the Democratic presidential primary while calling himself a “Democratic socialist.” The ladies also discussed his 2016 rival Clinton’s claim that “nobody likes” him.
“Don’t underestimate Hillary Clinton’s power. She still has it,” Behar said. “She won by 3 million votes. People still like her. And you know what, after that Howard Stern interview, we’ve seen the true Hillary. She’s fabulous.”
In an interview discussing a new documentary about her published Tuesday, Clinton refused to commit to endorsing Sanders if he wins the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.
She additionally stood by her claim in the four-part series due on Hulu in March that “nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done.” The former secretary of state also called allegations that Sanders told Sen. Elizabeth Warren in 2018 that a woman can’t win the White House, “Part of a pattern.”
