COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) — The United States expressed concern Thursday about attacks on Sri Lankan university students during a protest in a former war zone in the north of the country.
At least seven students were hurt in Wednesday’s clashes seen as the worst political disturbance in the area since the end of Sri Lanka’s civil war in 2009.
