Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson said this morning that Obamacare is going to “explode” the deficit and lead to health care rationing.
“The cost estimate of Obamacare is grossly understated,” he said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “I think far more people are going to lose their employee-sponsored health care because there are incentives for employers to drop the coverage and make their employees eligible for huge subsidies in the exchanges. I think this is going to explode our deficit, it will lead to rationing, lower quality care — here’s the basic economic problem with it.”
“Why will it lead to rationing?” asked host Joe Scarborough.
“Because it dramatically increases the demand for health care, thirty million Americans getting health care, kind of through a medicaid process, while it dramatically reduces the supply,” Johnson said. “It’s an economic disaster.”
