Romney’s K Street team grows

Presidential campaigns are always packed with advisors who are lobbyists or almost-lobbyists. Mitt Romney certainly isn’t going to be an exception. I wrote about Romney’s move towards K Street, focussing on his hiring of longtime lobbyist and former congressman Vin Weber. As he announces his foreign policy team, we see some more K Street action. Here’s the ones I spotted at first glance:

  • Former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, now a consultant for Homeland Security contractors (including nudie-scanner giant Rapiscan).
  • Chertoff Group principal Michael Hayden.
  • Former Sen. Jim Talent, now withthe lobbying firm Fleishman Hillard.
  • Former Sen. Norm Coleman, now “Senior Government Advisor” at lobbying giant Hogan Lovells.
  • Former State Dept. official Paula Dobriansky now the top lobbyist at Thomson Reuters.
