Survivor of Ukraine hospital bombing gives birth to healthy baby girl

A woman who survived a recent Russian attack on a Ukrainian maternity hospital has given birth to a healthy baby girl.

The expectant mother was injured during the Wednesday bombing of the hospital in Mariupol. Still, she reportedly gave birth to a girl without any complications and named the child Veronika.

This mother was one of at least 17 women and staff members who were injured in the attack. Three civilians died as a result of the bombing, and the building itself was completely destroyed. Mariupol, with a population of 400,000, is under Russian control, according to Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba.
