VIDEO — Weekly Examiner: Devastation in Canada

There was tragedy in the Canadian capital this week. The Ottawa shooting left a Canadian army reservist dead along with the alleged shooter. Army reservist Nathan Cirillo was shot in the back while guarding Canada’s National War Memorial. The gunman then made it to Parliament and was taken down by Kevin Vickers, sergeant-at-arms of Canada’s House of Commons.

After five months of detention in North Korea, Jeffrey Fowle was released this week by his captors back to his family in Ohio. Two Americans remain in captivity in North Korea, Kenneth Bae and Matthew Miller.

Both Dallas nurses who became infected after treating now-deceased Thomas Eric Duncan have been declared Ebola-free this week after tests came back negative for the deadly virus.
