Mike Pence accepts Joy Behar’s apology for anti-Christian remarks: ‘One of the things my faith teaches me is grace’

Vice President Mike Pence accepted “The View” co-host Joy Behar’s apology after she criticized him for his faith last month.

“I give Joy Behar a lot of credit. She picked up the phone. She called me,” Pence told Fox News host Sean Hannity in an interview that aired Monday night.

“She was very sincere, and she apologized, and one of the things my faith teaches me is grace; forgive as you’ve been forgiven,” Pence added.

The vice president also called on Behar to publicly apologize to the “tens of millions of Americans who were equally offended.”

Behar took Pence’s advice and apologized to Christians on “The View” Tuesday morning.

“I think Vice President Pence is right. I was raised to respect everyone’s religious faith,” Behar said. “I fell short of that. I sincerely apologize for what I said.”

Last month, Behar responded to a video former White House aide Omarosa Manigault saying Pence believe Jesus speaks to him.

“It’s one thing to talk to Jesus. It’s another thing when Jesus talks to you. That’s called mental illness,” Behar said.
