A-list celebs turn out to Clinton concert, leaving Sanders with the leftovers

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders each drew tens of thousands of attendees to separate concerts in California Monday night.

The battle of the bands was the Democratic presidential candidates’ last ditch effort to rally Californian voters before the state’s primary on Tuesday.

The musical guests ranged from A-list celebrities to lesser-known musicians. More than a dozen performers turned out collectively between the two events. However, Clinton — who has long been criticized for her connections to Wall Street and the rich — drew A-list performers to her Los Angeles concert while Sanders had lesser known Hollywood stars turn out to his rally in San Francisco.

The Clinton camp touted musical guests Christina Aguilera, Andra Day, John Legend, Ricky Martin and Stevie Wonder. Tickets for the “She’s With Us Concert” started at $45 and sold out before the event.

Sanders’ “Get Out the Vote” concert at the Bay City’s Crissy Field drew Dave Matthews, Fantastic Negrito, Fishbone and John Dexter Stewart.

Clinton has a 2-point advantage over Sanders among California Democrats, according to a RealClearPolitics average. Democratic primaries will also be held in New Jersey, the Dakotas, New Mexico and Montana Tuesday.
