Montgomery County police are looking for a 22-year-old Silver Spring man who did not return home after leaving his job around 11 p.m. Sunday.

Jeremy Andrew Wechsler was last seen when he left his job at a pizza restaurant in Potomac, Sgt. Derek Baliles said Thursday.

Police said Wechsler has not reported to work since Sunday and has not had any contact with friends or family, with whom he has close relationships.

He lives with a roommate in the 13900 block of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring.

“This is very much out of character for him,” Baliles said.

At this point, police do not suspect foul play. Baliles said Weschler’s family did not want to speak to the news media.

“They are very surprised,” Baliles said. “There doesn’t seem to be any reason for him to have left town at all.”

Wechsler is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds. He has brown eyes, brown hair, and small moles over his lip and on his chin. He drives a dark blue 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier with Maryland license plate number KVH-199.

“There’s nothing to say that it’s storm related or anything like that,” Baliles said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 301-279-8000.
