2017’s most Trump-hating commencement speeches [VIDEO]

It’s graduation season and Donald Trump is still the focal point of virtually every single commencement speaker to grace the stage this year.

Instead of coming up with original content about life in the real world, all jokes have been centered on the newly-minted president.

“Although this is my first commencement address I have delivered to an actual university, this is not my first commencement speech,” actor Will Ferrell said to the graduating class at the University of Southern California. “The institutions to which I have spoken at previously include Bryman School of Nursing, DeVry Technical School, Debbie Dudeson School of Trucking, University of Phoenix, Hollywood DJ Academy and Trump University. I am still waiting to get paid from Trump University. In fact, it turns out I owe Trump University money for the honor to speak at Trump University.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s former opponent, Hillary Clinton, returned to her alma mater at Wellesley College to not only burn the president, but also show the world that she’s still not over the election.

“We were furious about the past presidential election of a man whose presidency would eventually end in disgrace with his impeachment for obstruction of justice,” Clinton said, “after firing the person running the investigation into him at the Department of Justice.”

Is politics what graduating students want to hear on their way out into the real world? Doubtful.

According to the Young America’s Foundation commencement survey, 45 commencement speakers out of 100 were prominent liberals during this graduation season. Meanwhile, only four speakers out of those hundred were conservative.

Not all liberal speakers were horrendous though. Former Obama appointee and current CNN pundit Van Jones called for unity at Loyola University in New Orleans.

However, no liberal speaker was treated like a conservative this year (again). Vice President Mike Pence had several hundred students walk out on him as soon as he took the podium at the University of Notre Dame commencement, and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos was endlessly booed and heckled when delivering her speech at Bethune-Cookman University.
