Man charged in sex assault of teen
A Woodbridge man was charged in the sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl.

Prince William County Police charged Jonathan Alexander Carricveau, 26, with aggravated sexual battery and abduction. Police responded to a residence in the 4500 block of Kentland Drive shortly before midnight Sunday for a report of a domestic dispute.
When police arrived, a girl said that she had been sexually assaulted while at the residence of Carricveau. Police said they investigated her claims and arrested the man.
Metrobus hit by possibly stolen vehicle
A Metrobus was hit in Northeast D.C. by a possibly stolen vehicle Tuesday morning, sending four bus riders to the hospital.
The H6 was heading north on 14th Street toward Brookland around 10:50 a.m. when a vehicle slammed into its side, coming from Hamlin Street, Metro spokesman Dan Stessel said.
After the crash, two people in the vehicle fled the crash scene, said Metropolitan Police Officer Araz Alali.
Authorities are looking into whether the vehicle was stolen.
Nine of the 15 bus riders had injuries, Stessel said. Four were taken to local hospitals with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Woman, 76, killed in crash
A New York woman was killed after she struck another vehicle and then a tree in a Maryland traffic accident.
Anne Arundel County police said the crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. Monday, when 76-year-old Shirley Walker-Lloyd side-swiped another vehicle while she was driving on Quarterfield Road near Myers Drive in Severn. Walker-Lloyd, of Islip, N.Y., then drove her 2001 Honda Odyssey van off the roadway and struck a tree.
She was not wearing a seatbelt and witnesses said she appeared to have been suffering from a medical condition at the time of the crash, police said.
