AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Dentist Brian Babin has won the Republican nomination for the suburban Houston seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. Steve Stockman.

Babin, of Woodville, easily beat Houston investment banker Ben Streusand during Tuesday’s runoff.
