President Trump speaks to millennial and Gen Z leaders

President Trump addressed “over 100 Millennial and Generation Z individuals from across the country” at a White House event Wednesday called “Face-to-Face With Our Future.” Attendees included “young Americans learning and excelling in various professions.”

Trump called the crowd a “young, very good-looking group of people,” and said that they are “the people on the front lines of our movement to forge a future of true American greatness.”

He bragged about the Trump administration’s accomplishments that will better American youth, including a focus on job training and vocational schools, as well as restarting NASA and creating the Space Force.

“There’s never been a better time to be young and be American,” Trump said, citing low unemployment for those under 24 years of age, the “massive tax cuts” which are helping young people “get a stronger start in life,” and the repeal of the individual mandate for healthcare.

“Each of you represent the future of this nation. You aren’t afraid to speak the truth — and the truth as you know it — and to stand up for what you know is right, even if it means being politically incorrect on occasion,” he said, then joking about his own political incorrectness.

The president also addressed the tumultuous culture on college campuses.

“We believe in free speech on college campuses, not censorship. Institutions of higher learning should be forums for open discussion either way — you can be liberal, you can be conservative, you can be Democrats, Republicans — hear it all out and you make your choice!”

“You bring fresh eyes to old problems because, as young people, you’re not burdened by the failed thinking of the past … some of the failed thinking. Some of it has been very good.”

Perhaps the best part of Trump’s talk was when he broke away from his scripted speech and closed with advice for young people: find your passion, do what you love, listen, and ask questions. He also said to stand up for your values, work together, love your country, and never quit.

“Try and go into something … where it’s worthwhile.”
