WHAT: According to a new Government Accountability Office report, the Energy Department is wasting up to $5.7 billion annually on duplicative programs designed at increasing domestic ethanol production.
WHY ITS AN OUTRAGE: Its bad enough that our federal government chooses to needlessly subsidize ethanol. The least they could do is waste our tax dollars more efficiently.
