EXCLUSIVE — President Joe Biden’s campaign has re-added links to his tax returns from 2016 to 2018 following a Washington Examiner report on them being quietly removed.
The links went down sometime around July 2022 and, until Tuesday, redirected to an ActBlue page for people to donate to Democrats. Now, the links head straight to Biden’s tax forms, which the Democratic National Committee claims were inadvertently nixed from the campaign’s website.
BIDEN DOCUMENTS SCANDAL SPARKS CONCERN OVER WHY PRESIDENT’S CAMPAIGN PURGED TAX FORMS
“President Biden has released 24 years worth of taxes, and last summer, in the course of regular website maintenance, a couple of links to previous tax returns were broken,” Ammar Moussa, a spokesman for the DNC, told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday evening. “Those links are fixed now, and we look forward to Donald Trump and every 2024 GOP aspirant releasing their own tax returns.”
Six years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns were released by Congress in December 2022. Those forms showed that the former president paid no income taxes in 2020, that the IRS failed to audit him properly, and that Trump disclosed overseas bank accounts in China, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
The DNC did not clarify in its response why it took several months for Biden’s campaign to link to the tax forms again. Links to Biden’s 2019 tax forms and 2020 financial disclosure report to the Office of Government Ethics appear to have never been affected by the purported website link error cited by the DNC — and have remained publicly viewable on the website.

The minor skirmish involving campaign transparency comes amid growing questions surrounding Biden’s handling of classified documents.
On Thursday, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed a special counsel to investigate his handling of the documents, which were found on four separate occasions between November 2022 and January at Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware, home and the Penn Biden Center think tank.
“It may take congressional investigations, oversight, and finally some accountability, but the American people will get the truth about Biden Inc. and the influence peddling happening in the Biden household,” a senior Republican official told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday morning.
