House holds moment of silence for Manchester bombing victims

House Speaker Paul Ryan on Tuesday called for a moment of silence to honor the 22 killed and over 50 injured in Monday night’s terrorist attack in Manchester, England.

“To deliberately target innocent children is cowardice in its most heinous form. So we should not be surprised that ISIS has claimed responsibility for this attack. But we will never bow or bend to radical Islamic terror,” Ryan told reporters Tuesday.

The House Republican leader was also quick to draw attention to the “young and innocent” victims in a tweet Monday night.
