Democrat Antonio Delgado wins New York primary to challenge vulnerable Republican John Faso

Democrat Antonio Delgado won the party’s nomination Tuesday night to face Republican incumbent John Faso in the race for New York’s 19th Congressional District.

Delgado beat six other Democrats in the primary to take on the vulnerable Faso in November. Trump won the district by 7 points in 2016 but the race is a toss-up according to nonpartisan election trackers.

Faso, who voted against the GOP tax plan but for the Affordable Care Act repeal, is a top Democratic target in their quest for the House majority.
