Several liberal celebrities celebrated on social media in response to Major League Baseball’s decision to move its All-Star Game out of Georgia as punishment for the state’s latest election integrity law.
“You reap what you sow,” actor Mark Ruffalo tweeted in response to a statement from Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred moving the game out of Atlanta because the newly passed law making changes to Georgia’s election process didn’t represent the “values” of the league.

Democrats, including President Joe Biden, had been open lobbying Major League Baseball to move the All-Star Game due to the law passed by Georgia lawmakers and signed by the governor that made changes to mail-in voting, drive-thru voting, and voter ID requirements, arguing that the law makes it more difficult for minorities to vote.
The day before Major League Baseball’s decision was announced, Biden told ESPN that the bill would ensure polling places would close at 5 p.m., preventing working people from voting. That claim was given “Four Pinocchios” by the Washington Post days earlier, and the paper also reported that the bill actually expands early voting in the state.
