Supporters of former President Donald Trump held up a single finger and pointed it at him during a rally Saturday.
The gesture was done by various members of the crowd during a rally held by Trump in Youngstown, Ohio, for U.S. Senate candidate J.D. Vance.

The meaning and origin of the single-finger gesture near the end of Trump’s speech are unclear. Speculation about the gesture ranged from claims it originated from QAnon to suggestions that it may have represented “America first,” a popular slogan used by the former president.
The nearly two-hour speech featured Trump attacking President Joe Biden’s policies on the border, crime, and the economy as speculation mounts he may run for president again in 2024 in a rematch of the 2020 race.

Trump also went after Vance’s opponent in the Senate race, Tim Ryan, specifically attacking his claims of being a centrist and of distancing himself from Biden amid the president’s unpopularity.
