It comes as no surprise whatsoever that Branko Boskovic was announced yesterday as D.C. United’s first major summer signing. But the fear of flying thing needs to be put to bed. And there’s little about this signing that seems to be part of a marketing ploy – Boskovic isn’t exactly going to put people in the seats on his name alone.
In addition, what will his addition mean for team chemistry. All of a sudden, D.C. United has its act together and went flying into the World Cup break after Chris Pontius caused multiple nightmares for Kasey Keller en route to earning MLS player of the week in a 3-2 win. If Seattle hadn’t scored its pair of late goals, would ticket holders have deserved another refund?
Meanwhile, here’s what MLS players were, alphabetically and by team.
