Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin urged Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions on Wednesday to commit to investigating as attorney general unverified reports that Russia collected compromising information on President-elect Trump.

Durbin said the unverified reports warranted several investigations and wanted assurances that Sessions would look into the matter.
