Web sites top 200 million
The Internet continues to grow, with the number of top-level domain names topping 200 million last quarter. Dulles-based VeriSign says the third quarter ended with 202 million domain name registrations, up 2 percent over the second quarter. So far this year, 13.3 million new Web sites have been registered, a 7 percent year-over-year increase.

VeriSign says .com and .net still make up the majority of Web site domains worldwide, accounting for 103 million of all registered sites. A few more owners let sites go last quarter, with the renewal rate for .com and .net sites falling to 72.8 percent, from 73.2 percent in the second quarter.
Veterans Affairs signs fourth NoMa lease
The Department of Veterans Affairs has signed yet another lease in NoMa, this time for 52,886 square feet at Trammel Crow Co.’s Sentinel Square I project. The 10-year lease, signed on behalf of the department by the General Services Administration, is the VA’s fourth in NoMa.
The department previously leased 122,756 square feet at Tishman Speyer LP’s 1100 First St. NE.
