Feds: Man threatened Cantor
A Philadelphia man was arrested and charged with threatening to kill a Virginia member of Congress.
The FBI says Norman Leboon, 33, posted a video on YouTube, threatening to kill Rep. Eric Cantor, R-7th District, federal officials said.

Leboon told investigators that he was “son of the god of Enoch” and Cantor, the House Republican whip, was “pure evil.”
Duke official gets 27 years
A former Duke University official was sentenced in a federal court in Washington to more than 27 years in prison for producing child pornography.
Frank Lombard, 43, the school’s associate director of the Center for Health Policy, tried to persuade a person — an undercover D.C. police officer — to travel to North Carolina to have sex with his 5-year-old adopted child, prosecutors said. Police searched his home and found child pornography, and Lombard admitted that he had engaged in sexual contact with his son, prosecutors said.
Teacher arrested for sex with teen
A 34-year-old elementary school teacher has been charged with having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl he met on Craigslist, Prince William County police said.
Heber Ashbrook, a fourth-grade teacher at Bennett Elementary School near Manassas, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He has been placed on administrative leave.

Chihuahua off bridge
A man who tossed a stranger’s Chihuahua off a bridge faces up to more than four years in prison after pleading guilty Monday to aggravated animal cruelty and theft.
David M. Beers, 35, of Brunswick, Md., admitted to snatching the 4-pound Zoey and throwing her out his car window as he crossed a creek in Frederick County. The dog was never found.
Beers said he was angry because the dog’s owners threw him off their property when he asked to borrow a phone, the Associated Press reported.
