Report: Clinton had maid handle sensitive documents

Published November 6, 2016 5:11pm ET

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton regularly had her maid print out and handle sensitive national security documents, despite the fact that the servant lacked any such clearance to handle the materials, according to a New York Post report published Sunday.

Since it was published, the report has been pushed by the Trump campaign in a press release and also during the Sunday morning talk shows by GOP nominee Donald Trump’s running mate Mike Pence and campaign manager Kellyanne Conway. It states that Clinton regularly had Maria Santos, a Filipino maid who worked at her D.C. residence, print out emails for her, including official documents Clinton received as secretary of state. She also told aides to forward messages to Santos for that purpose.
