Walthall County, Miss., has been forced to clean up its voter rolls after it was sued in April by the American Civil Rights Union for having more registered voters than actual voting-age residents.

ACRU Chairman Susan A. Carleson declared a victory, saying “this is historic and should have been done 20 years ago.
