Bachmann says Obama jobs back track demonstrates his incompetence

CHICAGO — Former presidential candidate Rep. Michelle Bachmann, R-Minn., slammed President Obama’s backtracking on the nation’s jobs numbers as proof of his cluelessness on the economy at CPAC Chicago Friday evening during a press conference.

Bachmann responded to a question from Red Alert Politics suggesting that the problem in the economy is there aren’t enough state and local government jobs to support the economy.

“The truth of the matter is that … we’ve created 4.3 million jobs over the last 27 months, over 800,000 just this year alone,” the president said  Friday in response to a question. “The private sector is doing fine. Where we’re seeing weaknesses in our economy have to do with state and local government,” which, he said, isn’t getting the support it needs from Washington.”

Obama backed away from earlier comments that the private sector was “doing fine” contradicting himself.

The congresswoman echoed New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s comments from earlier in the day  suggesting that his comments further prove that the president is clueless about how the economy works.

“He’s showing that not only is he feckless when it comes to being able to have solutions to dealing with the economy and turning it around making progress,” Bachmann said. “It really is not that difficult to figure out that he doesn’t even know how to figure out how to go about dealing with the bad news.

“This president has never been able to figure out how to be responsible for any of his policies or any of his actions – tornadoes, floods, locusts,” Bachmann continued. “He blames everything but his policies, and I think it’s just more example of a feckless response.”
