Trump’s Hollywood star destroyed with man wielding a pickax

President Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was destroyed Wednesday morning by a man wielding a pickax.

Police said that witnesses described seeing a man carrying a pickax in a guitar case, using the tool to wreck the star.

The man later called police to explain what he did and turned himself at Beverly Hills police headquarters an hour after police arrived on scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

LAPD officers picked him up from the headquarters and took him into custody. At 6 a.m. PT, the unidentified man was still being interviewed, Lt. Karen Leong said, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Photos of the star post destruction were posted on Twitter by reporters.

Trump’s star has been vandalized, destroyed, and even adorned with a golden toilet in the past.

In 2016 the star was marked with spray paint, and a month before the election, a man used a pickax and sledgehammer to smash the star.

In May of last year, a golden toilet that was broken but read, ”Take a Trump,” was placed next to his star.

The star was dedicated in 2007 for Trump’s role on NBC’s “The Apprentice.”
