Hugo Gurdon is editorial director of the Washington Examiner. He oversees the publication’s editorial mission: to report news free of the left-liberal biases of the media pack and to provide readers with intelligent commentary and analysis grounded in traditional values and conservative principles. From 2014 through 2026 Gurdon was editor in chief of the Washington Examiner, and for 11 years before that was editor-in-chief of The Hill newspaper He has previously served as an editor and reporter at the Daily Telegraph of London and the National Post of Canada, and his writing has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the Guardian, and other leading publications.
