This photo provided by David Ogilvy & Associates shows Copper Beech Farm. The 12-bedroom waterfront estate on 50 acres in wealthy Greenwich has been sold for $120 million. Even though that's $70 million under Copper Beech Farm's initial listing price, real estate agent David Ogilvy tells the Greenwich Time he believes the sum is the most ever paid for a residential property in the United States. The paperwork finalizing the sale to a limited liability company was filed Friday April 10, 2014.

Defense attorneys Hubert Santos, left, and Jessica Santos speak to one another as Michael Skakel looks on during the second day of Skakel's appeal trial at Rockville Superior Court on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in Rockville, Conn. Attorney's for Skakel accused Michael Sherman, the attorney who represented him at his murder trial of having a good time making trips around the country instead of preparing for the case. Skakel is the 52-year-old nephew of Robert F. Kennedy's widow, Ethel. He's serving 20 years to life in prison for the 1975 golf club bludgeoning of Greenwich neighbor Martha Moxley when they were both 15. (AP Photo/The Stamford Advocate, Jason Rearick, Pool)
