Salena Zito joined the Washington Examiner in 2016 as a Pittsburgh-based columnist and reporter covering national politics and culture from a perspective outside the Beltway.
She is the author of Butler: The Untold Story of the Near Assassination of Donald Trump and the Fight for America’s Heartland and The Great Revolt. She began her career at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review as a reporter and columnist covering national politics. She has been a contributor at the New York Post and Wall Street Journal and is currently a contributor at the Washington Post.
