The University of California, Davis suspended its entire baseball team over unspecified allegations of misconduct, the school announced Wednesday.
The college’s Office of Compliance and Policy investigated the accusations, and all of the coaching staff was placed on administrative leave, a statement read. The institution anticipates a review will begin “very soon,” and the inquiry is set to last for a few months in the fall quarter.
“The safety of students is of utmost importance to UC Davis,” the school wrote. “The University has learned of allegations of misconduct involving the varsity baseball team.”
