As the polls closed in nearly two dozen states, the Associated Press called 11 states, including the District of Columbia, with six for Trump and four for Harris.

Trump is projected to win in Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, and South Carolina, while Harris is projected to win in Maryland, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Washington, D.C.

With the latest slate of calls, Trump holds an early 95-35 lead over Harris in the Electoral College. To win the presidency, one of them will have to reach or surpass 270 electoral votes.
