President Joe Biden will address the nation on Wednesday following his historic decision to exit the 2024 presidential race.

“Tomorrow evening at 8 PM ET, I will address the nation from the Oval Office on what lies ahead, and how I will finish the job for the American people,” Biden wrote on X.

Biden was diagnosed with COVID-19 last week and has been recovering at his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware home since. On Sunday, he made the announcement that he would permanently be suspending his presidential campaign following dozens of elected Democrats and donors asking him to step aside.

Wednesday’s address will be his first public remarks since his decision to drop out of the race.
